Any pension which you have accrued elsewhere can be transferred to us. We refer to this as value transfer. You can also transfer any pension you accrued with us to another pension provider. On this page you can read the following information:
A value transfer can sometimes be disadvantageous. Your previous pension scheme may include guarantees, such as a fixed pension benefit or additional security through risk reserves.
If you transfer your pension to Pensioenfonds PGB, the conditions of your previous pension scheme will no longer apply. Instead, the conditions of your pension scheme with us will apply.
Do you want to transfer your pension?
In order to transfer your pension immediately, our coverage ratio must be higher than 100%.
Is our coverage ratio lower than 100%? You can still request a proposal. We will process your request as soon as our coverage ratio is above 100% again.

You apply for a value transfer with Pensioenfonds PGB. You will then receive a proposal from us. Compare this proposal with the conditions of your previously accrued pension.
Step 1: You request a proposal from us
Log in with your DigiD at MijnPGBpensioen. After logging in, you will find the section “Do you want to transfer your previous pension?” at the bottom of the page. Click “Arrange it now”.
Here you indicate with which pension provider(s) you have accrued pension and provide your policy or registration number. You request a proposal per pension provider.
Step 2: We contact your previous pension fund or insurer
We ask your previous pension provider for the value of your accrued pension. Sometimes it may take a while before we receive a response.
Step 3: You receive a proposal from us
Once we have received the information, we calculate how much pension you can receive with us in exchange for the value of your pension with your previous pension provider. You will then receive a proposal from us. Based on this proposal, you can decide whether you want to transfer your pension.
Step 4: You let us know whether you agree
Have you made your choice? Then complete the form included with the proposal and sign it.
Do you have a partner? If so, your partner must also sign the form. After that, return the proposal to us.
Step 5: You receive a letter once your value transfer has been completed
If you agree with our proposal, we will contact your previous pension provider(s). They will then transfer the value of your pension to us. Once we have processed the transfer, you will receive a letter from us.

We expect to transition to the new pension on 1 January 2027. You can still apply for a value transfer as usual.
Due to the transition to the new pension, it may be necessary to temporarily postpone the value transfer. This happens when the two pension funds are not yet operating under the same rules.
We will do so as soon as both pension funds have transitioned to the new pension scheme. You will receive an email or letter once this happens. You do not need to take any action.
Do you have pension with an insurer or a premium pension institution (PPI)? In that case, the transfer will continue. There is also no postponement for value transfers between pension funds that already operate under the same rules.
Are you no longer accruing pension with us? And do you have a pension scheme with your new employer? In many cases, you can transfer your pension to your new pension provider. This is called an outgoing value transfer.
