With us, you will receive your pension from the first day of the month in which you are initially entitled to a state pension (AOW).
The age at which you become entitled to a state pension (AOW age) depends on when you were born. As of 2026, the AOW age will be linked to the average life expectancy. Here you can calculate when you'll first get your state pension (AOW).
Retiring early or later
You can still decide to retire early; and you can also decide to defer your retirement. Or you may decide to take partial retirement and continue working the remainder of the time. Read more about retiring early or later.
In 2023 the state retirement age (AOW age) is 66 years and 10 months. In 2024 the AOW age will rise In 2024 the state retirement age (AOW age) is 67 years In 2025, 2026 and 2027 the AOW age remain at 67 years. In 2028 the AOW age will rise to 67 years and 3 months. Also in 2029 the AOW age remains at 67 years.
From 2030 onwards, the AOW age has not as yet been stipulated as the age will depend on the average life expectancy of the population. In our pension planner, account has been taken of the new AOW age.
