On leave

When your employee takes leave, the leave could have an impact on their pensions. The impact on their pensions depends on the type of leave being taken.

You report this in the case of paid or unpaid leave

  • If you do not continue to pay the salary in full during a leave period, you must report this leave via the form on this website. We ensure that the risk of pension in the event of disability and death is covered.
  • If you do continue to pay the salary in full during a leave period, you must not report this leave via the form on this website. The invoices continue and the pension accrual remains the same. One example of this is pregnancy leave.

Transitional arrangement for unpaid parental leave
Until 31 December 2022, we pay for the pension accrual over the hours your employee is on leave. At least... If the parental leave started before 1 April 2022. You must notify us of the parental leave. The ‘What to do in special situations’ section on our UPA page explains how to do this. Unfortunately, employees who use parental leave after 1 April 2022 are not entitled to pension accrual at our expense over their parental leave hours.
