When your employee takes leave, the leave could have an impact on their pensions. The impact on their pensions depends on the type of leave being taken.
You report this in the case of paid or unpaid leave
Transitional arrangement for unpaid parental leave
Until 31 December 2022, we pay for the pension accrual over the hours your employee is on leave. At least... If the parental leave started before 1 April 2022. You must notify us of the parental leave. The ‘What to do in special situations’ section on our UPA page explains how to do this. Unfortunately, employees who use parental leave after 1 April 2022 are not entitled to pension accrual at our expense over their parental leave hours.
You must provide information to your employees
It’s important for you to provide information to your employees. You can do so by referring them to this page. We will not provide information to your employee.
We expect to do this on January 1, 2027. Also in the new pension you report the leave of your employee via the Uniform Pension Submission System (UPA).
The software suppliers will update the salary systems. This helps you keep correct pension administration after 1 January 2027. You do not need to worry about this. We will inform you and/or your administration office in time about the changes.
