The new pension: the board accepts the mandate

The board of Pensioenfonds PGB has accepted the mandate from employers, industries, and trade unions for the transition to the new pension. This took place on the basis of the transition plans in which the social partners have set out their agreements. The board's positive decision is an important step towards the new pension.

Hans Veltkamp, chairman of the board of Pensioenfonds PGB: "Many people have worked incredibly hard to make this happen. For a fund with so many different pension schemes, industries, and transition paths, it has been quite a challenge, and one never seen before in the market. It started about five years ago with the exploration of the new legislation and ultimately resulted in about 420 transition plans. I'm very happy with that result."

Implementation plan and statutory communication plan submitted

The implementation plan has been submitted to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). This plan will be available on our website from 2 April.

The plan explains how we will make the transition to the new pension. DNB will assess the plan in the coming period. We have been talking with the DNB about the implementation for quite some time, and we will continue to do so. This should lead to getting the declaration of no objection from DNB. We need this to be allowed to transit to the new pension.

The communication plan is part of the implementation plan. This plan explains how and when we will inform everyone who has a pension with us about the transition to the new pension. The Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) assesses this plan. This plan will be available on our website from 2 April.

Which agreements apply to you?

The most important agreements made by your industry or employer are listed on this page. More details can be found in the transition plan, the official document that contains the agreements between your employer or industry regarding the new pension. You can find the transition plan on the same page no later than mid-April. We continue to prepare for the new pension on 1 January 2027.
