Your pension will be presented more clearly

As of 1 January 2020, we are going to record your pension in a different way. Consequently, it will be clearer to you exactly how much pension you have with us.

From two or three pension pots to one pension pot with a computation age of 68 years
To determine how much pension you can accrue, we calculate your pension using a computation age. This age is laid down by the government and has been adjusted in recent years. As a consequence, you may be accruing two or three pension pots which are based on different computation ages. Until now, you have been able to see the amounts in these pension pots on your pension statement. However, the different amounts may have made it difficult for you to see how much pension you will receive at a later date. It also meant we incurred extra administration and costs. Consequently, as of 1 January 2020, we have converted all the pension pots to one pension pot with a computation age of 68 years. In so doing, we calculate your pension as though you will retire at the age of 68. This is not the age at which you will, as a rule, receive your pension from us.

As a rule, you receive your pension as soon as you reach state retirement age (AOW age)
You will normally receive a pension from us during the month in which you first receive a state pension (AOW). That was the case and will continue to be the case. However, you can still choose to retire earlier or later. What is new is that, in future, your pension at AOW age will also be shown on your pension statement; this should give you more clarity.

Good to know
- You will not lose any pension due to the conversion of your pension pots.
- With us, you can still retire earlier or later.
- On your Uniform Pension Statement (UPO) and at, you can see the amount of pension you will receive.
