Temporarily a higher or lower pension

Perhaps you would like to receive more pension in the initial years and less later. Of course, the other way around is possible as well.

First a higher pension and then a lower pension
You can choose to receive more pension the first 5 or 10 years and less thereafter. This could be convenient if you retire early and are not yet receiving old-age pension. Or if you have children who are studying. Your low pension is 75% or 90% of your high pension.

First a lower and then a higher pension
You can choose to receive less pension for the first 5 years and more thereafter. This could be handy if you have a higher income for the first few years. For example, because of an annuity plan. Or because your partner is still working. Your low pension is 75% or 90% of your high pension.
