More or less pension for your partner

You may choose to alter the amount of the pension for your partner.

More pension for your partner
Depending on your pension scheme, you may choose for more pension for your partner. For example, because your partner is building up little or no pension himself/herself. But your own pension will then decrease.

Less pension for your partner
You can choose for less pension for your partner. For example, because your partner is building up pension himself/herself or perhaps you don't have a partner to begin with. As a result your own pension shall increase. Do you have a partner but you don't want him or her to receive partnerpensioen? Then it's neccesary for your partner to renounce the partner pension himself/herself.

Receiving pension immediately upon death
You can choose to have the same amount of pension paid out when you or your partner dies. Your partner will thereby receive more pension when you pass away. But your own pension decreases if your partner dies before you do. Your partner must agree with this choice.

You yourself must register your partner if you live together
If you live together you have to register your partner yourself for partner pension. It's important that you do this before you retire. When you choose not to do this (in time), your partner will not receive any partner pension from us when you pass away.
