General surviving relatives act (Anw pension)

You can choose to take out a general surviving relatives act (Anw) pension for your partner.

Each month, you pay us (via your employer) an amount to insure a General surviving relatives act (Anw) pension. Your partner will receive this pension when you die, in addition to the partner pension. The pension stops when your partner receives old-age pension.

About the general surviving relatives act (Anw)?
General surviving relatives act (Anw) is the partner pension from the government. This pension is meant for your partner when you die. Your partner will receive this pension if he or she meets these conditions:
- Your partner does not yet receive old-age pension from the government; and
- Your partner is taking care of 1 or more children who are younger than 18 years of age; or
- Your partner is more than 45% incapacitated for work.

Unfortunately, few people receive General surviving relatives act pension from the government. This is due to an income limit that applies. This is why you can insure General surviving relatives pension with us as well.

You choose how much Anw pension you want to insure
U You can insure a maximum of € 17,186 gross per year (amount 2016). This is the legal limit. Of course, a lower amount is also possible.

You choose how the Anw pension is paid out
1. When you die and your youngest child becomes 18 years of age up until your partner receives old-age pension.
2. When you die up until your partner receives old-age pension.

How to arrange for the insurance for Anw pension?
You arrange the insurance for Surviving Dependants Act pension via www.mijnpgbpensioen.nl. This is always possible as long as you are still building up pension with us. Do this within 3 months of:
- starting your new job;
- getting married or registering your partnership;
- registering the partner with whom you cohabit with us.

Please note: Do you take out the insurance at a later time? Then you must complete a medical questionnaire. It is possible that you cannot insure any general surviving relatives act pension or must pay a higher premium.

How to stop your insurance?
Your general surviving relatives act pension insurance stops automatically when:
- you leave your employer; or
- you and your partner separate; or
- your partner receives an old-age pension first.

Would you like to stop the insurance for the Surviving Dependants Act pension early? Then you cancel the insurance in writing. The period of notice is 2 months.
