Building up pension on your own

You can choose to build up pension with us on your own, free of will.

Consider: You have a new job where you do not build up any pension. For example, because you are starting your own business. Or because your new employer does not have a pension plan. Then you can choose to build up pension yourself with us. This is referred to as building up pension on your own.

You pay the employer's part of the premium as well
Building up pension on your own is more expensive than building up pension via an employer. Because you pay for the entire premium yourself: your own part and the part that your previous employer used to pay.

You build up just as much pension as with your previous job
We proceed on the basis of your last-earned salary. We also look at the number of hours you worked. Thus, on your own, you build up just as much pension as with your previous employer. Have you built up extra pension with us previously? You can continue to do so. But you cannot increase or decrease the extra amount.

This is how to arrange for pension on your own
You arrange for pension on your own via www.mijnpgbpensioen.nl. This can be done up to 9 months after you have stopped building up pension with us.

This is how to stop building up pension on your own
You can build up pension on your own for a maximum of 3 years. Then it automatically stops. Have you found a new job where you are building up pension again? Or is there another reason why you want to stop building up pension on your own? Then you cancel the pension on your own in writing. The period of notice is 2 months.
